Today we put the ROV into water. It was hard to figure out how much pool nodal so that our ROV will go up and down with no problem. We tested out the ROV in the big pool, and it was fun!! It will be fun tomorrow in the competition!

Today Eric and Austin finished attaching everything to the ROV. We attached a black netting to the bottom. Austin but on the flotation device to the top of the ROV. Eric zip tied the wire that connects the controller to the ROV to the Black netting so if we pull the cable we wont pull on off the motor cables. Tomorrow we will do a buoyancy test in the small pool.

Today we assembled the ROV together and we tested the buoyancy in the small pool. We also checked that all the motors worked in the water. We had to make one small change, which was to turn the motors around to make it easier to steer. Other than that, today was a successful day and I look forward to the competition.

The frame has been build. We drilled holes for air to exit the pipes when the ROV goes underwater.
The holes for the motors to be mounted on is drilled, The motors are mounted on by two zip ties. The wiring needs to also be water proof so we used electrical type and some putty like stuff to wrap around the cat5 wire. The circut board will be finish by tomorrow and then we will be ready to test it in the kiddie pool.
